Cybersecurity

Layered cybersecurity for your business

No single product stops every threat. CTS combines endpoint protection, email security, identity controls, network security, 24/7 monitoring, and backup into layers that work together.

The challenge

Problems we solve

Phishing and email fraud

Most attacks start with a convincing email, a fake login page, or an impersonated vendor.

Ransomware and malware

One infected computer can lock up files and bring operations to a halt.

Compromised accounts

Stolen passwords and too many admin rights give attackers an easy way in.

Our approach

How CTS helps

We build security into how your technology is designed and managed, rather than treating it as an add-on. Our team works with specialized security operations partners for continuous monitoring and alert investigation. We help you understand where you are exposed and prioritize the improvements that matter most.

What’s included

Capabilities

Endpoint detection & response

Watches devices for suspicious behavior, not just known viruses, and can isolate a threatened computer.

Email security

Blocks phishing, malicious links and attachments, and impersonation attempts.

Identity security

MFA, conditional access, separate admin accounts, and regular access reviews.

Network security

Firewalls, segmentation, DNS filtering, and secure remote access.

24/7 security monitoring

Continuous monitoring and alert investigation through our security operations partner.

Backup & recovery

Backups and recovery planning in case an attack gets through. Learn more →

Security assessments

Find weak spots such as missing patches, risky settings, and backup gaps.

vCISO & compliance support

Security strategy, policies, and compliance-supporting safeguards. Learn more →

Cyber insurance is separate: our services help you put in place controls insurers commonly look for, but they do not include insurance coverage. Services included depend on your agreement.

In depth

How our cybersecurity layers work

Traditional antivirus mainly looks for known malicious software. EDR also watches for suspicious behavior on each device, such as unusual processes or file encryption, and can isolate a computer to stop a threat from spreading. Our managed EDR uses SentinelOne Complete where it is included in your agreement.
Most attacks start in the inbox. Advanced email security inspects messages for phishing, malicious links and attachments, business email compromise, and impersonation, adding protection on top of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
Our security operations partner monitors security events around the clock, correlates alerts, investigates suspicious activity, and escalates real threats to our team. Log sources and response scope depend on your service.
Stolen passwords are a top cause of breaches. We set up MFA, conditional access, separate admin accounts, access reviews, Microsoft Defender settings, audit logging, and sharing restrictions.
Firewalls and network segmentation limit how far an attacker can move, and DNS filtering blocks known malicious and phishing sites. DNS filtering adds a layer but does not replace endpoint protection. See Network & Wireless for network design.
We approach ransomware with layers: EDR, monitoring, email security, DNS filtering, patching, MFA, segmentation, and backups. No one can promise complete prevention, but layers reduce risk and improve your ability to recover. Backup details are on our Backup & Disaster Recovery page.
If something happens, we help with triage, containment, isolating devices, resetting credentials, restoring systems, and coordinating with security partners, then make improvements afterward. Formal forensics and legal or breach-notification work are coordinated with specialized partners.
We help organizations implement technology safeguards that support HIPAA and general security frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS Controls. That is alignment support, not formal certification or attestation. For strategy and policy work, see our vCISO service under IT Consulting.
Insurers commonly ask about MFA, EDR, backups, email security, monitoring, patching, and admin access controls. We help you put those controls in place. Our services do not include insurance coverage.

FAQ

Common questions

Isn’t antivirus enough?

Traditional antivirus mainly catches known malicious software. Endpoint detection and response also watches for suspicious behavior, which helps catch newer threats.

Can you guarantee we won’t be hacked?

No one can honestly promise that. Layered security significantly reduces risk and helps you detect and recover faster when something does happen.

Do you help with HIPAA?

Yes. We help healthcare organizations implement and manage the technology safeguards that support their HIPAA obligations, and we sign Business Associate Agreements.
